Perfectly Pampered: Our Favourite Spas in Toronto

It goes without saying that it’s been quite the year and many of us are deserving of a day (or even an hour shall do) of R&R. For some, this might mean wrapping themselves in a waffle-knit robe and shuffling about in hotel slippers at a spa! Mercifully, we can now remove our masks for personal services that require us to do so, making a trip to one of our favourite oases all the more tempting. One of the many wonderful things about living in Toronto is being spoiled for choice when it comes to hotel spas. Here are some of our favourites for finding respite…

four seasons toronto spa

The Spa at The Four Seasons

Seeing as Toronto is the OG city for the Four Seasons hotel chain, it only makes sense that the Yorkville hotel would feature a spa that lives up to its reputation. With a glorious selection of services ranging from lime and macadamia nut scrubs to Himalayan salt stone massages, there’s a reason why this spa is popular amongst travellers and locals alike. After your treatments, enjoy a salmon or tuna poke bowl with edamame, avocado, bonito flakes, pickled vegetables and ponzu at the Cloud 9 Oasis.

Miraj Hammam Spa at The Shangri La

For a spa day that is truly an experience, it is worthwhile to keep your ears open for the reopening of the hammam treatments at the Shangri La. Though not “relaxing” in the traditional sense, the deep steam followed by an thorough hammam-style exfoliating scrub is invigorating and leaves your skin incredibly soft. In the meantime, the spa is offering a wide range of their facials, body treatments, massages and more complete with high-end products and followed by tea and treats in their Middle- Eastern inspired relaxation room.

The Spa at The Ritz Carlton

If you’re partial to beauty products by Clarins, book yourself some treatments at The Ritz Carlton’s spa. The menu consists of personalized skin care treatments, as well as results-driven body treatments and various kinds of massages. Classic services at their nail bar are elevated with champagne and the aroma-infused vitality pool, co-ed sanctuary and relaxation lounges are the perfect way to finish your stay. All in all a day at this spa is sure to provide an experience worthy of the reputation that precedes the Ritz Carlton name.

hazelton hotel pool and spa

The Spa by Valmont at The Hazelton Hotel

Within the Hazelton Hotel, you will find a spa that doesn’t receive as much press as it deserves. This hidden gem features treatments that use products by Valmont, a brand of high-performance, anti-aging treatments that have been around since ‘85. The spa’s world-class Valmont treatments and specialized massages are specifically designed to release stress as well as toxins, making it a fabulous place to find some much-needed tranquility.

iridium spa st regis

Iridium Spa at The St. Regis Hotel

Though Iridium technically opened last summer, with the seemingly endless shut-downs and restrictions, few were able to visit and therefore, sadly, you may not have heard about it. Floating thirty-one stories above the city, we can’t wait to visit this marble and pink-clad oasis at the St. Regis for the decor alone! The 15,000 square-foot sanctuary features an indulgent menu of services along with opportunities to further unwind with their infinity-edge, saltwater lap pool and detoxifying, infrared cedar saunas.
